Advanced Level Linux Professional (LPIC-2)

Status: Available now; first published November 29, 2001; latest revision November 11, 2006

Pre-Requisites: You must have an active LPIC-1 certification to receive LPIC-2 certification, but the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams may be taken in any order.

Requirements: Passing Exams 201 and 202

Overview of Tasks: To pass Level 2 someone should be able to:
Administer a small to medium-sized site
Plan, implement, maintain, keep consistent, secure, and troubleshoot a small mixed (MS, Linux) network, including a:
LAN server (samba)
Internet Gateway (firewall, proxy, mail, news)
Internet Server (webserver, FTP server)
Supervise assistants
Advise management on automation and purchases


LPI 進階認證(LPIC Level 2)

目前狀態：可考試。初次推出於2001.11.29，最近修訂於2006.11.11。

考試限制：必須擁有有效的LPIC Level 1認證文件，但LPIC-1與LPIC-2的考試順序不要求。

意思大概是這樣：
可以先考LPIC-2的科目，但不會發給你LPIC-2證照(因為沒LPIC-1的證照)
等到你通過LPIC-1考試時才會發給你LPIC-2的證照(一次拿到兩個等級？)
我想大概很少人會這麼做吧！

考試費用：每科目 150 USD 約 4950 NTD (共需考二科)

認證要求：通過LPI 201 與LPI 202考試。

任務概灠：要通過此級考試的人大致需俱備下列能力：
管理中小型網站。
計劃、協調、維護、維持一致、安全與解決一個混雜網路環境(如MS、Linux...)問題，包含：
區域網路伺服器(如：samba)
網際網路閘道(如：防火牆、快取伺服器、郵件伺服器、新聞...)
網際網路伺服器(如：網頁伺服器、檔案傳輸伺服器...)
